SPRING/SUMMER 2025
"WIND'S TRAIL CAPTURED"
Can “motion” and “stillness” coexist?
This season, with the theme “Wind's Trail Captured”, we explore another dimension of the relationship between motion and stillness, using the perspective of the wind.
The initial design idea was inspired by the works of Irish sculptor and artist Joseph Walsh. In order to “capture the strength from the trees”, Walsh often uses wood as the primary material, producing pieces with a sense of flow, as if capturing a fleeting moment in time, freezing the physical form of nature.
During the design process, the “sail” on a sailboat provided us with another perspective. Driven by the wind, the open sail propels the sailboat forward. Yet when the boat is in motion, the sail remains still. The image of the wind is concretised in this moment.
In this collection, we have incorporated entirely new structures and never-before-used materials to simulate the trajectory and form of the wind. The design gradually becomes three-dimensional as it transforms into a physical form, capturing the wind’s trail and freezing it in place, thereby recording the shape of the wind.
